SABS DESIGN AWARDS 2009

Chome Cherry Design studio was awarded a prestigious SABS design award at the gala event held in Pretoria on 29 October 2009, for their product YBIKE, as an example of excellent and innovative South Africa design. 

TOY OF THE YEAR AWARDS 2007

YBIKE won the second runner up prize in the Toddler catogory at the esteemed South Africa Toy of the Year Awards held in Sandton on the 15 of November 2007.

What makes this achievement remarkable is the fact that not one YBIKE had been sold at the time of judging which took place 2 months prior to the official launch of YBIKE. The judges only had a prototype to evaluate.

The competition involved all toys sold in South Africa during the past two years including such well known International brands as Lego, Superman, Fisher Price and others.
